When you took your test, you probably got a year membership to the ClarkCounty Amateur Radio Club. If that isn't enough, you can join the combined Clark County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service / Amateur Radio Emergency Service. This group conducts a net weekly, has monthly
meetings, and works with FEMA, Homeland Security and Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency to ensure compatability and drill for emergency situations, where CCARES/RACES can help out by providing vital communications in the event of a large scale emergency, infrastructure failure, planned event, and more. The Clark County Amateur Radio Club also manages the EYEWARN program, which hosts a weekly training net. To top it all off, the mormons conduct the Washougal River Response Group Net through Simplex, every sunday evening at 6:30 local time on 146.415, which anyone can join. They also
meet every second saturday at the Vancouver East Stake Center, to discuss Ham Radio and undertake Community Service. Visitors are always welcome.
