Do you work better in a small class setting? How about individual study? With a Ham Radio license, you can do whatever works better for you. Classes are offered in association with CCARC (Clark County Amateur Radio Club) for all license levels (Technician, General, Amateur Extra). Thanks to Freedom of Information regulations, all test questions, as well as the answers they come with and which are correct is public domain. As such, there are apps and websites which will (for free) allow you to take actual license tests (There are about 400 questions, approximately 35 of which will be on any given test, with a certain number for each of the subtopics). The test is multiple choice.
If you want to take a class through CCARC, the classes are free. One set of classes is Women Only, the other is mixed. For class dates, times and locations, visit CCARC's classes page at http://www.w7aia.org/licclass.htm.
